How to Track Your Stock Portfolio With Yahoo Finance

Navigate to Yahoo Finance (see Resources for a link) and click on 'New User?, Register.'
Enter your personal details, set up a Yahoo account and enter the onscreen CAPTCHA code to prove you're human.
Sign into your email account and verify your email address by clicking on the link in the message Yahoo sent you. Then click 'Continue' to go to Yahoo Finance.
Hover over 'My Portfolios' and click on 'Create Portfolio.'
Enter your portfolio's name in the 'Portfolio Name' box and then enter the stocks you want to track in the 'Manage Symbols' box before clicking on the 'Add Symbol' button.
Select the market indices you want to monitor by marking the tick boxes below your stock symbols. Choose how you want to view your portfolio from the drop-down menu, and click 'Save.' You are then directed to your portfolio page, where you are able to chart the progress of your stocks.
